Robert Linn Overstreet, 70, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines.  A graveside inurnment of cremains will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Bob was born August 12,1950, in Dodge City, KS to Robert and Beverly Jean (Beery) Overstreet.  He graduated from Indianola High School in 1968 and entered the United States Navy in December of 1968 serving during Vietnam and was Honorably discharged in December of 1972.

He was employed as a service technician at Audio Labs in Des Moines for 43 years retiring in 2019.  He was an accomplished marathon runner, competing in the Boston Marathon, St. Louis Marathon and the only person to run in every Dam to Dam race held.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beverly Overstreet and brother, Roy Overstreet.  Survivors include his brothers, Steven (Sondra) Overstreet and Martin (Elizabeth) Overstreet; nieces, Sara (Felix) Gallagher and Amanda (Jimmy) Lela; and great-nephew, Felix Gallagher Jr.
