A Memorial Mass for Robert D. O'Mara, 74, who died Friday, December 8, 2006, in Topeka, KS, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 15 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Indianola. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Resthaven Cemetery & Mausoleum in Des Moines.

Bob was born in Lake City, Iowa and had lived in Indianola for the past 46 years. He was a heavy equipment mechanic working for Central Construction, MM Schipper Inc., and retired from McAnnich Corporation in 1994. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 234, Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

He is survived by his sons Paul (Angela) O'Mara of Topeka, KS, Robin O'Mara of Ankeny and Tom (Tish) O'Mara of Indianola; 5 grandchildren: Rachael & Lindsay O'Mara, Kelsey & Kyle O'Mara and Jacob O'Mara. A sister Mary (Justin) Janecek, of Fremont, NE, a brother James (Ameila) O'Mara of Lake City, IA and sister-in-law Shirley O'Mara of Sacremento, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, brother John and parents Paul and Myra O'Mara.

Memorials may be designated to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
