Obituary

Services for Robert Dean Mosher, 74, who passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009, after a short bout with cancer, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Robert was born in Warren County, Iowa on February 9, 1934 to Olin and Grace Baysinger Mosher.  He attended Burgess One Room School and graduated from Chariton High School in 1952.  In 1960, he was united in marriage to Margo Lehman.

He hauled heavy construction equipment from coast to coast, many years as partner/owner of Heavy Haulers, Inc.

Robert is survived by his wife, Margo; daughters, Kelly Putney and husband, Stacy of rural Lacona, IA, Raynell Helmich and husband, Ted of Sac City, IA; son, Ted and wife, Kim of Lawrence, KS; eight grandchildren, Cody (Allison) Putney, Kira (Mike) Graf, Travis (Jen) Lee, Treva Lee, Tarissa Lee, Dylan Helmich, Katie and Taylor Mosher; three great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Maxiene Mosher.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin and Grace Mosher; brother, Joe Mosher; sister, Edna Oldaker; and niece, Meta Oldaker.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.  Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.  Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
