Services for Robert Shan Morey, 73, who died following a stroke Friday, March 2, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines, will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial with military rites will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Robert was born in Des Moines and graduated from New Virginia High School. He had lived most of his life in Indianola. He worked as an extruder operator for Firestone retiring in 1995 after 43 years. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed electronics, fishing, camping and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; sons, Mikael Morey of Tarpan Springs, FL, and Dave (Kay) Morey of Indianola; 5 granddaughters, Heather, Holly, Heidi, Hannah and Haley Morey.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 7 p.m., Monday, March 5 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
