ROBERT D. MILLICAN Wichita Falls, TX Services for Robert D. Millican, 77, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Wichita Falls, TX, will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 9 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola, I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Robert (Bob) was born in Warren County, Iowa on May 23, 1935 to Alta and Merle Millican. He graduated from Martensdale High School 1952 and attended Iowa State and Drake University. He loved learning and had many interests and hobbies. He loved hunting and fishing and exploring the outdoors. He collected many original art works depicting Iowa wildlife, hunting and fishing. He attended Wakonda Christian Church and was a long-time resident of Des Moines, Iowa. Robert (Bob) retired from J.C. Penney. He had just recently moved to Wichita Falls, Texas to be near family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Millican; and sister, Carol Alexander. He is survived by his son, Todd R. Millican; and grandson, Tyler C. Millican, both of Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 8 at Overton Funeral Home. If desired, memorials can be made to Wakonda Christian Church, 3938 Fleur Dr., Des Moines, Iowa.
