Mr. Lehmkuhl was born in Roanoke, Missouri. He retired from John Deere in Ankeny after 34 years and enjoyed gardening, going to Canada fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Ankeny; children, Caryl (Doug) Fisher of Council Bluffs, Joan Moats of Dillon, CO, and Kurt (Nicole) Lehmkuhl of Ankeny; brother, Kenneth (Donna) Lehmkuhl of Indianola; sister, Maxine (Wayne) Fitkin of Cedar Falls; and 8 grandchildren, Jeff and Alicia Moats, Joe, Chrissie, Eddie, and Michael Fisher, Bobby and Danny Lehmkuhl.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be designated to Cancer Research or Mercy Hospice, Johnston, Iowa.
