Graveside services for Robert "Bobby Lee" Vaught, 55, of Indianola, who passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 in Des Moines from a deer motorcycle accident will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024 in the Fell Cemetery, Libertyville, Iowa.

Bobby Lee is survived by his fiancé, Sharon Linn; son, Robbie Lee (Reba Lonsdale) Vaught; daughter, Ami (Jeremy) Brownfield; parents, Rickie and Mary Vaught; sister, Regina Lynn (Aaron) Vaught-Rudich; nephews, Anthony Rudich and Austin Rudich; grandchildren, Tristian Lane, Brekken Brownfield and Lealen Brownfield; aunts, Patty Aalbers, Melody Wiedmann, Barbara Householder; uncles, Bob (Olga) Sowden, Ron (Vickie) Sowden, Jay Sowden and Paul (Melissa) Sowden; and several other cousins and friends.  He was preceded by his grandparents, aunt Betty Nine and uncle Randy Vaught.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Memorials in memory of Bobby can be made to B.A.D.D. (Bikers Against Drunk Drivers).  The family would like to publicly thank Jeff Lewis for finding Bobby Lee on the highway and staying with him until MercyOne Air Med transported him to the hospital and also to the ICU Neuro trauma doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
