Services for Robert L. Davey, 98, who passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at The Village in Indianola, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Indianola.  Cremation will follow services and inurnment of cremains will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 19, with full military rites, in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Bob was born on March 16, 1925 to Derby and Lora (Durham) Davey.  Bob graduated from Milo High School.  Following graduation, he attended Central College in Pella, before entering into the United States Army Air Force during World War II.  Following his discharge, he met and married Betty Kennedy on December 15, 1946.  To this union two children were born Lon and Lynne Davey.

He is survived by his son, Lon (Linda) Davey; grandchildren, Angela (Marc) Ricketts, Jerod (Kathy) Davey and R. Wade Davey; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grayson Ricketts and Liam Davey.  He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Davey; daughter Lynne Davey; parents Derby and Lora Davey; brother Roy Davey; and an infant brother Elton Davey.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to Trinity United Presbyterian Church, The Good Shepherd Fund at The Village or Kiya Koda Humane Society.
