Born in Boone County, Iowa, Robert had lived in Indianola for 63 years. He owned and operated Bob's Lawn Care in Indianola. He was a member of the Indianola Regular Baptist Church where he served as an Awana leader for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Robert (Carol) Dale and Glendel (Kathy) Dale, both of Indianola and Michael (Connie) Dale of Grand Junction, CO; five sisters Lexie (Charles) Money and Carol (Gary) Vickroy both of Indianola, A. Jeanie (Gene) Tyler and Dixie (Jim) Tyler, both of Winterset, and Judy (Dave) Mitchell of Prole, IA; two brothers, Donald Dale of Osceola and Wayne Dale of Indianola; a sister, Phyllis McCulloh of West Des Moines, IA; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A Robert Dale Memorial Fund has been established for his family.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
