Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling in his motor home, camping, fishing. He loved country western music, dancing and horses. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge of West Des Moines, Des Moines Scottish Rite, and Za Ga Zig Shrine; and a former member the Carlisle Jaycees.

Bob was a Union Electricain for forty years and worked in such places as San Franciso, CA; Prudhoe Bay, AK; Palto Verde Nucular Plant, AZ; and retired from Local 347 in Des Moines, IA.

He is survived by children, Kim (John) Layland and Tami (Bob) Miller of Indianola and David Casady of Des Moines; loving companion Kim Warner and her daughters, Brook Warner and Aaron (Chris) Page of Indianola; 7 grandchildren, Garrett Shetterly, Jake and Josh Miller, Logan, Lacey, Chase and Grant Casady. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; parents, Robert and Gladys Casady and sister, JoAnn Wasson.

Visitation will be held from 3 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 5 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be given to the Shriner's Hospital or Hospice of Central Iowa.
