A Celebration of Life service for Robert Eugene Benge, who passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  This will be a casual event.  Please come comfortable!

Robert was born was born January 28, 1943 to Smith James and Cleo Arlene (Parker) Benge. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Kay Beck on May 29, 1965 and they had three children.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim Benge and Larry Benge. He is survived by his children, Wayne Benge, Tracy (Sean) Herrick and David Benge; sister, Jane Ann Maynes; grandchildren, Rebecca (Steven) Hooten, Danielle (Blake) Fauss, Patrick (Hailey) Herrick, Addyson Herrick and Jon Benge; two great-grandchildren, Phineas Hooten and Sophia Herrick; sisters-in-law, Donna Moose, Virginia (Dale) Lovstad and Jo Beck; brother-in-law, Merrill (Ronda) Beck and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given, in Robert's name, to the family for a memorial to be directed for a tree planting and or bench at Buxton Park.
