He was a resident of Progressive Options in Winterset and has resided at Winterset Care Center North since 2000. Ricky worked for Innovative Industries and also worked in Housekeeping at the Care Center. Ricky has competed in the Special Olympics.

Ricky is survived by his father and step-mother Don and Mary Butcher of Des Moines; mother, Marjorie Schuler-Bruce of Reedley, CA; brothers, Rod and Jeff Palmer of Marysville, WA; sister, and Julie Schnnualet of Reedley, CA.

Visitation will be held 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Saturday, October 22 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorial contributions may be directed to Winterset Care Center North Activities Fund.
