Services for Rick Reese, 26, who died Friday, August 6, 2010, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 11 at First United Methodist Church in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Rick was born in Des Moines and was a member of the NHRA. He enjoyed racing at the Eddyville Raceway and was a carpet installer for Flooring America.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Janis Reese of Indianola; brother Ryan (Robin Hall) Reese of West Des Moines; grandmothers, Helen Reese of Indianola and Dorothy (Glasscock) Stearns of Lucas; uncles, Bill and Eldon Reese; aunt, Ginger Ripperger; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Forrest Reese and Buford Glasscock; uncle, Gary Glasscock; and cousin, Kevin Reese.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 10 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Rick Reese Memorial Fund.  Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com
