Services for Richard Wayne "Dick" Stills, 91, who passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 in Des Moines, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, IA.

Dick served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Parrish on January 14, 1952 and to this union three children were born.

Dick was one of the founding members of the Martensdale Volunteer Fire Association, a member of the American Legion, and retired from Firestone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and crafting.

Dick is survived by his children, Bruce Stills and Judy Stills; grandchildren, Adam (Margo) Stills, Clay Taylor, and Carrie (Jim) Koonce; great-grandchildren, Macey, Taylor, Riley, Emmett and Emmley; great-great grandchild, Elaine; siblings, Kenneth (Judy) Stills, Clarence (Phyllis) Stills, Butch Stills, Charlie (Jody) Stills and Linda (David) Ballard.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Stills; daughter, Vicky Taylor; parents, Hezie and Helen Stills; siblings, Marilyn Garner and Kathryn Ranson.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home.  Memorials may be given in his name to the  Martensdale Fire Association.
