Funeral Mass for Richard "Dick" Joseph Davitt, 88, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at The Village, will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Holy Trinity of SEW in Milo, with burial following in the Belmont Cemetery, rural Milo.

Dick is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Davitt; children, Rick (Terri) Davitt, Russ (Brenda) Davitt and Ron Davitt; grandchildren, Ben (Sarah) Davitt, Brooke (Andrew) Burk, Beth (Zac) Beeler, Chelle (Joe) Morgan and Roxi (Greg) Foreman; great-grandchildren, Joe, Makena, Gabe, Hayden, Jemma, Jude, Micah, Seth, Jaeda, Ephraim, Madi, Aubree, Will, Grayden and Garrett; sisters, Carol Sones and Judy Wilgenbusch.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Davitt and Margaret Bell Davitt.

A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with visitation following from 4 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Richard, may be given to The Good Shepherd Endowment Fund at The Village, Holy Trinity of SEW in Milo or Wesley Life Hospice.
