RICHARD "DICK" CONKLIN Indianola Services Dick Conklin, 62, who died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, January 13,2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola. Cremation will follow services and inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date. Dick graduated from Indianola High School in 1966 and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He had worked for Acosta Inc. in Des Moines. He is survived by his mother, Betty Conklin; brother, Greg (Brenda) Conklin; sister, Donna (Kent) Stille all of Indianola; nieces, Shelby and Kelly Conklin, Erin (Chris) Larsen and Allison (Cody) Putney; great niece, Blake Putney and great nephew, Karter Larsen. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Conklin. Dick will be especially missed by his mother and all his friends and family members. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 13 at the First United Methodist Church where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Dollar for Dollar Indianola Community Youth Foundation.
