REVA MAE TREMBLY

Services for Reva Mae Trembly, 83, of Indianola, who passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 27 at the First Baptist Church in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Reva was born October 23, 1932 in Sewal , IA to Alpha Ray and Mary Ann (Reed) Allen. After graduating from Sewal High School, she continued her education at AIB in accounting.

On September 1, 1957 she was united in marriage to Walter Trembly at the Sewal Methodist Church. Three children were born to this marriage, Kathryn Dee, Michael Allen and Thomas Scott. In 1963 the family moved to Indianola.

In 1972 Walt and Reva started Trembly Plumbing and Heating where Reva worked as the bookkeeper. In 1989, Reva started working for CDS in Des Moines where she was in charge of the cash room. She loved her job and worked there until her retirement. She then dedicated her time to Helping Hand and her three grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Walter; children, Kathy Trembly, Mike (Helen) Trembly, Thomas Trembly; grandchildren, Jake, Max and Emma Trembly; and sister, Lorene Havner. She is also survived by a special friend Ada Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents Alpha Ray and Mary Ann Allen and brothers Rex and Charles Allen.
