Services for Rebecca Ann Martindale,75, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services.

Becky was born August 5, 1941 in Des Moines, IA to Robert and Evelyn Biggs. She lived with her grandmother and mother in her younger years. In October of 1958 she married the love of her life John Martindale. In 1969 John and Becky started Shady Oaks Golf Course in Ackworth, IA. She worked at Super Value on Army Post Road to help make ends meet during the construction of the golf course. Becky was a go getter for everything that was needed. She worked every day during the season at Shady Oaks and gained thousands of friends through her lifetime.

Survivors include her sons, John (Kimberly) Martindale, Bob (Karla) Martindale; siblings, Martha Treaster, John Biggs and Jim Biggs; grandchildren, Bobby Martindale, John Martindale III, Misty Boucher, Austin Martindale; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces; 3 nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Martindale; parents, Robert and Evelyn Biggs.
