IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond
Ball
October 4, 1925 – November 15, 2018
RAYMOND BALL
Kansas City, MO
Raymond Eldean Ball, born October 4, 1925, in Milo, Iowa, passed away on November 15, 2018, in Platte City, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Well known for his kindness and graciousness, he loved Jesus, his family, and his country. He was quick-witted, played several musical instruments, and never missed an opportunity to regale those around him with stories from his life. He survived the Great Depression, World War 2, the loss of an infant child (Gary Dean), the loss of his wife Fern Marie, and sixteen presidents but could not overcome cancer. And true to his Iowa farm boy roots, he lived weeks longer than his prognosis, repeatedly telling his family not to worry about him because he would soon be in heaven.
He will be greatly and sorely missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Vincent) Stephenson; grandchildren, Michelle (Roger) Strong and Eric Stephenson; great- grandchildren, Torin, Hunter and Violet Strong; and a brother Roy Ball. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Fern; son, Gary and siblings, Rev. Howard Ball, Ivyl Ball and Edith (Sterl) Conn.
