Services for Ramona Joan Heckman Reynolds Reed, 78, who died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh House, Des Moines, IA, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 31, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Liberty Center Cemetery. Ramona was the daughter of WM. G. and Ruby (Peterson) Heckman, born on July 4, 1932 in Adair County. She graduated in 1950 from New Virginia High school. She was a member of the Medora Church and Medora Ladies Aide. She also lived in Stewartville, MN and LaPorte City, IA. She loved her farm at Medora, IA. She is survived by her six children, Sheila (Mike) Blake, Marty (Norma) Reynolds, Marla (Jeff) Wilkerson, Kevin (Kim) Reynolds, Renae (Jim) Webb and David (Bryn) Reynolds; grandchildren, Eric Larimer, Brady Blake, Mandy Blake, Megan (Doug) Corsin, Andy Apple, Nick Apple, Jason (Dee) Wilkerson, Joey Wilkerson, Nicole (Ryan) Springer, Jen (Jason) Fagan, Jessica Reynolds, Rachel Webb and Ryan Reynolds. She enjoyed having her 14 great-grandchildren visit. Also survived by two brothers, Delbert (Joyce) Heckman and Melvin (Erma) Heckman; and sister, Norma Eberly. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Burdette Reynolds and Verle Reed; parents; and sister, Shirley Crawford. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 30, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Medora Ladies Aide.
