Services for Ralph Roy Turner, 87, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at The Village in Indianola, IA will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 22 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born to Glenn and Mable (Bishop) Turner, Ralph lived most of his life on his farmsted west of Indianola.

Ralph loved all aspects of farming and was particularly proud of his cattle. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, fishing and visiting with friends.

Ralph worked 28 years at Armstrong Tire and Rubber and hauled cattle for whoever needed a hand. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Tina (Strable) Turner; children, Roy (Special Friend, Robyn Jackson) Turner of Omaha, NE, Pat (Craig) Larsen of Manchester, IA and Ron (Diane) Turner of Indianola; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his  parents Glenn and Mable (Bishop) Turner and daughter Peggy Tometich.

A special "Thank You" to the staff at The Village for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ralph's name to Hospice of the Midwest or The Pink Tractor Foundation.  Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com
