Ralph was born in Indianola and had lived there all his life. He served in the Army during WW II, spending 2 years and 4 months as a P.O.W. in a German prison war camp. After the war he worked for Firestone until his retirement in 1978. Ralph was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 4123 and the American Legion Post # 165 in Indianola, and the Indianola Country Club for 60 years. He and his wife Darlene spent many winters playing golf in McAllen, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his son Rick (Kay) Demory of Indianola; daughter, Kristi (Bud) Brandsfield of Norwalk; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother Glenn Demory of Glenwood, AZ and sister, Evelyn Labertew of Indianola.
