Services for Phillip “Dean” Hutt, 69, of Thayer, who passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 in Creston will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Overton Funeral Home. Per Dean’s wishes, he will be cremated following services with inurnment in the IOOF Cemetery at a later date.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy; daughter, Heather (Kory) Kearney; sons, Travis (Casey) Hutt, Gabe (Jessica) Hutt; grandchildren, Blake Kearney, Callen Kearney, Madison (Nate) Huffmaster, Logan Hutt, Landon Hutt, and Colton Hutt. He is preceded in death by his parents.
