Peter (Pete) Jon Morris, beloved son, father and grandfather, passed away on April 16, 2021 in Des Moines, IA.  Pete was born October 23, 1942 in Berwyn, IL but grew up in Creston, IA.  He had served in the U.S. Navy, Branch ABF3 on the U.S.S. Guadalcanal LFH-7, which he was very proud of.  Pete worked for the U.S. Postal Service until retirement.  He enjoyed golfing, mud runs, truck and tractor pulls, fishing, photography, taking care of his house and yard, and most of all, his family.

Pete is survived by his brother, Richard (Dick) Morris of Buhl, ID; children, Marty Morris of Indianola and Shayne Morris of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Skye Morris, Halo Morris and Ayden Morris.

A Celebration of Life for Pete will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 in the Orient Cemetery.  He will be laid to rest with his mother, Elizabeth (Bishop) Morris and father, Matt Morris.
