Permilia Elizabeth Savill Fry was born to Harrison and Lizzie Savill on December 6, 1919 at Ackworth, Iowa. She passed away at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL, on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the age of 89. She attended rural schools in Warren County and graduated from Indianola High School. She married William H. Fry on August 22, 1939. To this union one child was born, Carol. She taught in the rural schools of Warren County for nine years and retired from Meredith Corp. after 30 plus years. She was a member of Staves United Methodist Church, was a past member of Parents without Partners, National Education Association and East Des Moines Women's Club.

Permilia is survived by her daughter, Carol and her late husband, Michael Padron of Spring Hill, FL; grandson, Kevin and his wife, Megumi of the Netherlands; great grandson, Antonio of Spring Hill; four sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until services time of 11 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2009 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
