Peggy Jane Cox, 73, of Prole, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Peggy was born on October 30, 1950. She is survived by husband, Randy; sister, Ruth Jones; and her five nephews, Paul, John, Pete, Phil and Dave. She was preceded in death by two sisters; nephew Randy Jones; and daughter Cindy, who died at birth.

Peggy worked in Des Moines for Selectivend and Iowa Association of Community Colleges. She also worked in Martensdale at Middle River Steel, with her husband Randy, where she ordered steel and kept books. She loved her quilt making and retired to work at the Stitching Place in Indianola with Eileen, Rose and Megan, who she considered family. Peggy is also survived by her special friend and high school buddy, Peggy Clark and Earl Meyer.
