A Celebration of Life Visitation for P.J. Needles,90, who passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in the Cochran Cemetery, Lacona, IA.

P.J. was born January 6, 1927 to Nora Iris (Gray) Needles-Kellogg and Arthur "Pete" Needles.  He grew up in the Milo, Lacona and Chariton area and graduated from Chariton High School in 1945.

P.J. served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany.  After discharged he met the love of his life, Lois Streeter.  They were united in marriage August 3, 1947.  To this union two daughters were born, Terri and Renee.

P.J. is survived by his wife Lois; daughters, Teresa (Michael) Crabb and Renee (Bob) Hunget; grandsons, Joe (Dana) Crabb, Alex (Tonya) Crabb, Jake (Jeena) Hunget and Luke (Donna) Hunget; and nine great-grandchildren Keely and Tory Crabb, Sophie and Carter Hunget, Graylie and Kenna Hunget, Alexus Wools, Joey and Mikey Crabb.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Stanton and Grant Needles.
