Pauline Kaye Ripperger, 85, of Indianola, passed away Wednesday, June, 7, 2023 at home.

Pauline Clinton Ripperger was born July 3, 1937 at Corydon, Iowa to Robert and Verla Clinton. She grew up and graduated from high school in Indianola, Iowa. Pauline loved music and dancing. She worked for Ellen Belle Dance Studios as a teenager, while she taught ballet dancing. She and her girlfriend once entered a dance contest and were selected best in the state and won a free trip to New York to try out on the Ted Mack Show. After graduation from high school, Pauline married the love of her life, Wilfred Ripperger. They raised their 4 children on their farm south of Lacona. They participated in 4-H and the Iowa State Fair.  Pauline retired after 30 years as a School Board Secretary at S.E. Warren High School. She and Wilfred retired to their farm south of Lacona, and spent many years as snowbirds in Arizona, where she was a member of the Lost Dutchman Kitchen Band.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Shelly) Ripperger, Sheryl (Randy) Williams, Teri Boughton, and Dr. Valerie (Randy Marban) Ripperger; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn Reddick; and step-father, Bill Funk

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass for Pauline Kaye Ripperger, 85, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at home. Services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola. Her final resting place will follow services and lunch, at the St. Marys Cemetery in Lacona.

Memorials may be given, in remembrance of Pauline, to the S.E. Warren Community Schools Scholarship Fund.
