Obituary

Funeral Mass for Pauline Braddock, 88, who died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at home, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 23 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle, IA of which she was a member.  Burial will follow in the Rosemont Cemetery, rural Milo, IA.

Pauline was born in Floyd Co., VA and has lived in Warren County since 1956.  She worked as a Warren County Home Health Aide for 22 years and also for the Army Corp of Engineers taking water samples from the North, Middle and South Rivers in Warren County.  She loved to fish and will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Moore of Augusta, GA, Matt Sayre of Algoma, WI, Sallie Sharp and Winston Sayre both of Indianola; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sisters, Della Miller of Ackworth and Alice Miller of Pella.  She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Thomas and brother, Erbie Akers.

Visitation will be held 3 – 6 p.m., Sunday, February 22 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle where family will be present to greet friends from 4 – 6 p.m.  A Rosary service will be held 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
