Born in Chicago, Illinois, Patrick had been an Indianola resident since 1965. He owned and operated Shannon Café for ten years (1965-1976) before becoming a Finance Manager in farm equipment. He was presently employed as a part-time currier for Iowa Health Systems.

He was a member of the Indianola Country Club and American Legion Post #165.

Surviving are his wife Helen of Indianola, Iowa; three sons, Frank and his wife Jeannette of West Liberty, Kevin of Indianola, and Sean of Des Moines; one daughter, Kelly Swift and her husband Joe, of Aurora, Colorado; five grand-daughters; and one step-grandson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
