A Celebration of Life service for Patricia DeGard, 79, who died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in the Leon Cemetery. Patricia is survived by her children, Deborah (Jerry) Whisler of Indianola, Daniel (Sue) DeGard of Des Moines, and David (Barb) DeGard of Appleton, WI; daughter-in-law, Angel DeGard of Indianola; sister, Roberta (Marney) Marquies of TX; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son, Dennis; grandson, Nick; and parents, Delmar and Flossia Scadden.
