Funeral services for Pansy T. Haines, 77, of Indianola, IA, who passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indianola, IA. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to service.

Pansy came to the United States after her marriage to Rev. Alexander Tiwari Haines in August of 1976. They first ministered at a church in West Virginia. After moving to Iowa, they ministered in Prairie City, New Sharon and Indianola. They also managed an apartment complex in Indianola.

Pansy graduated from Nursing College in India and practiced as an OB RN/ Midwife for 16 years when she married and moved to the United States. After coming to the United States, she worked as a Nursing Assistant and CMA in DSM, New Sharon, Prairie City and Good Samaritan of Indianola for 26 years. Retiring at 72 years of age.

Her hobbies included cooking, word search, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Pablo) Di Santi of CA; brother, Pearson Edwards of Kanpur, India; nieces and nephews in India and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alexander T. Haines; parents, Pyare and Miriam Edwards and sister, Percis Walters.

Visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, at Overton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in her name.
