OVIDA B. TEEMS Indianola Ovida B. Teems, 97, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Westview Care Center in Indianola. Private family services with burial in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery will be held at a later date. Ovida was born November 20, 1914 in Thor, Iowa to Abel and Lena (Severson) Larson. She was united in marriage to John Teems on October 11, 1937. Ovida had lived in Indianola since 1959 where she was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, reading, and fishing and camping with her husband John who preceded her in death in 1986. Survivors include her children, Anthony "Tony" (Rebecca) Teems and Jan (Greg) Dickson; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Westview Care Center in Indianola or Southern Care Hospice.
