Olive was born in Warren County and had lived most of her life in the Hammondsburg farming community. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her son, Dean of Ackworth and sisters, Faye Dittmer and Ilene Gibson of Milo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivyl; son, Marvin; brother, Leland Gibson; and sisters, Fern Gibson and Donna Allen.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa.
