Norman E. Kuhn, 81, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.  Visitation will be from  3 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 20 at Overton Funeral Home with family present from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Due to the over night stay of RAGBRAI in Indianola on Tuesday services will be held 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services and burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Norman was born in Pleasantville, Iowa on January 5, 1928.  He graduated from Beech High School. He spent most of his life as a farmer in the Milo farm community.

Norman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gwen; daughters Ronda Lyon of Milo, IA and Cheryl Buckley and friend Jerry Keller of Seymour, IA; grandchildren, Bart Lyon, Cheri Lyon, Jennifer (Austin) Norris, Mike (Jessica) Buckley, Eric (Jayna) Buckley and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Tom Lyon.
