Memorial services for Norma R. Greubel, 82, who died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Westview Care Center in Indianola will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010 at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola.  Burial of cremains will be at 2p.m. in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Lacona, IA.

Norma is survived by her husband, Jack; son, David Greubel of Arlington, TX; daughter, Linda (Greg) Jacobs of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren, Nick, Adam, BJ and Elisa Greubel, Nathan Austin, Jordan, Sarah, Emily and Rachel Jacobs; sister, Charlotte Woodworth; brother, Gilford Ehler. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen and her parents, Otto and Beryl Ehler.

Norma was a very loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and teacher. She would always put the needs of others before herself. She enjoyed singing in the church choir as well as working on her many artistic projects throughout the years, such as wedding candles, cakes, and most recently her quilts. She completed a quilt for each of her 10 grandchildren. Education was a priority to her and she was a beloved teacher at S.E. Warren, where she taught 2nd grade for 20 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Iowa Hospice in her name.
