Memorial services for Nick Radakovich, 86, who died Monday, January 28, 2008 in Des Moines, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 1 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.  Burial of cremains will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Nick was born in Earlham, Iowa and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.  He began teaching in Indianola in 1961 and retired in 1985.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Paula and Gary Baker of Carlisle, Janet Radakovich of Maineville, OH, and Karen Radakovich and Casey Neuman of Louisville, CO; son, Phil and Joan Radakovich of Olathe, KS; 10 grandchildren, Brian and Jeff Baker, Connor and Trevor Neuman and Jamie, Curtis, Ryan, Mark, Alexandra and Justina Radakovich; 2 sisters, Dorothy Davis of San Jose, CA and Anna Breen of Cottage Grove, OR.  Nick was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Evelyn; his 3 brothers; 3 infant brothers; 4 sisters; 2 half brothers; and 1 half sister.

Visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, January 31 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends.  Memorial contributions may be given to American Legion Post #165, Kiwanis or Kiya Koda Humane Society.
