Graveside memorial services for Nancy Carol Smith, 79, who passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Knoxville Hospital, Knoxville, Iowa, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 26 in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa.

Nancy was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Francis and Velva (Harp) Smith.  She enjoyed a happy life both as a country girl and small town girl at different locations in Bloomington Township and around Lamoni. Following high school she attended Grandview and Drake Universities and graduated from Graceland University.  After 34 years of teaching in Knoxville, Cherokee, and Indianola, Nancy enjoyed retirement in Texas and Indianola.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed reading, housework and handcrafts.
