Myrtle "Irene" Beck, 91, passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, at the Westview Care Center.  Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2006 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday.

Irene was born in New Virginia, Iowa and had lived in Boone and Ankeny before moving to Indianola in 1952.  She and her husband, Lester, farmed and were active in Western Round Dance.

Survivors include a son Jerry (Myrna) Beck of Milo; daughters, Janella (Bob) Guilford and Judy (Greg) Jones both of Indianola; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, an infant son Gary Lester Beck and a brother Merrill Braucht.

Memorials may be designated to Westview Care Center or Kiya Koda Humane Society of Indianola.
