Mildred Laurella Webster was born October 12, 1913, in Osceola, IA, to Lester Beebout and Edna (DeLong) Webster. Later in her childhood she had a stepfather, Hamilton Wonner Karr, who loved her very much. Mildred married Lyle S. Dunham in 1934 and they made their home in Warrensburg, MO, until 1953 when they moved with their two daughters to Seward, NE, where Lyle managed a Western Auto Store for two years. In 1955, Mildred was an Iowan once more when the family moved to Creston. It was while living in Creston that Lyle, at age 54, studied to become a Methodist minister. The family's first charge was Afton. Later Lyle and Mildred moved to several towns where she was his loyal helpmate in his ministry throughout the years, until they retired back to Creston in 1984 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mildred took wonderful care of Lyle, with the help of several people, when they moved to Indianola to be near their daughters after he suffered a stroke. In February 1991, Lyle went to be with the Lord. Due to failing health, in 1993 Mildred moved to Wesley The Village where she resided until her death. Mildred loved God and her family and was a full-time wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma. The family often gathered for wonderful meals together. She is survived by daughters, Sue Ellen (Ron) Flam of Branson, MO and Marianne (Lynn) Lester of rural Indianola; grandchildren, Kim (Dave Kloock) St. Pierre and daughters Erin St. Pierre and Dr. Kirsten Kloock (Victor) Ha, Kirk (Christy) Siddens, Aaron (Michelle) Lester and children Hannah, Liz, Andrew and Sarah, Megan (Tom) Morhardt and children Chris and Gracie, and Lydda (Dave) Youmans and children Rylee and Reece. Also surviving are two step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild, as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Preceding her in death was her husband Rev. Lyle Dunham, father Lester B. Webster, mother Edna Karr, and step-father Hamilton (Hal) Karr. Memorials may be directed to The Village Health Care Center Juniper House.
