MICHELLE ADAMS Clive Michelle Adams was born on June 23, 1955 to James and Mary June Adams of Martensdale, Iowa. She died January 3, 2014 at the age of 58 from breast cancer. Michelle graduated from Martensdale High School in 1973 and worked 34 years at the VA hospital in Des Moines. She also worked part time for several years at JC Penney's, Montgomery Ward and Younkers. Michelle enjoyed watching any type of sporting event on TV. She was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan and also enjoyed going to garage sales and finding the best bargain. She is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Mary June Adams. She will be sadly missed by her sister Patti (Merle) Walter of Mount Ayr, brother James Adams Jr of Johnston, nephew Chip (Katie) Williams of Winston Salem, NC, niece Allison Walter of Olathe, KS, great nephew Nash Williams of NC, and several cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with visitation prior to services from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to family to be decided at a later date.
