Michael Manning, 49, passed away on November 23, 2025. Born and raised in Nora Springs, Iowa, Mike later made his home in Indianola, where he built a life filled with family, laughter, and the things he loved most.

A devoted fan of Notre Dame football, Mike brought the same enthusiasm to every part of his life. He was known for his endless supply of fun facts, and for his humor, always ready with a joke to share. Mike was also incredibly handy, forever keeping a running list of home projects and tackling each one with determination and pride.

Mike is survived by his wife, Belinda Manning; his children, Ireland Manning, Teague (Maddy) Manning, Jana Howard, Jace Howard, and Jack Howard; and his grandchildren, Mila and Tatum Manning. He is also survived by his father, Dennis Manning; his brother, Cory (Jennifer) Manning; his sister, Shelley (David) DuVal; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Mr. Kitty.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Manning; and his son, Grey Manning.

Mike's life was defined by his love for family, his generosity of spirit, and the joy he brought into every room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services for Mike will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 3 p.m.
