Obituary

Michael Suzette Kinsey "Mickey Sue" passed away July 30, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. She was born August 10, 1954 in Osceola, IA and lived in Norwood, IA, Lucas County till the age of four. Her family moved to Indianola where she graduated from high school in 1971 and then attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence. She showed horses with the family throughout the Midwest acquiring a superior award in Amatuer Western Pleasure. She represented the Iowa Quarter Horse Association as Queen at the all American Quarter Horse congress in 1977 at Columbus, OH, and also qualified and showed in the first Amateur Western Pleasure class at the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City, OK. She raised four baby colts out of the family broodmare. Her passion for fashion led her to work at Younkers Department store and Casual Corner. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and biking along with tending the family acreage. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry W. Kinsey. Survived by her mother, Darlene Kinsey, sister Joani Kinsey and one other sibling. Her wishes were to be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
