Funeral services for Melody Jane Iverson, 60, who passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 22 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Melody had worked for Principal Financial for over 40 years. Survivors include her husband, Gale, brother, Craig Chumbley, brother-in-law, Paul Iverson; cousins, Brad Sandy and Janet Sinclair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Floreine (Sandy) Chumbley. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given in Melody's name to the Animal Rescue League.
