MAXINE M. BRADFORD Indianola Memorial services for Maxine M. Bradford, 90, who died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Des Moines, will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 21, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Maxine was born December 3, 1921 in Anthon, Iowa and graduated from Sioux City East High School. On December 30, 1972 she was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Bradford. Maxine was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, T.O.P.S. and Al-Anon. She served three years on the Indianola Drug and Alcohol Abuse Commission and three years on the Helping Hand Board. Survivors include her children, Stephen (Jane) Friedman, Mark Friedman, Suzanne (Tony) Core, Robert (Angie) Friedman and Roger (Madge) Friedman; step-daughter, Becky Boes; twelve grandchildren, Andrea Smith, Stephanie Sanger, Nathan, Ian and Kara Friedman, Aaron and Alyssa Core, Quintin, Emma, Arabelle and Cailynn Friedman and Samantha Cabe; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard Bradford; brothers, Wesley and J. Lloyd Hickson; sisters, Clara Hickson and Minnie Hansen. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Indianola.
