Services for Max D. Keller, 95, who passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Indianola, will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Ackworth Cemetery, Ackworth, IA.
Max was born in Sandyville and was raised in Ackworth. He spent his adult life in Indianola. He was born to be a truck driver and retired after 30+ years. Max then drove a school bus in retirement. He was a dedicated family man and an avid sports fan. He charmed everyone who met him.
He is survived by his son, Don of West Des Moines and his children: Michelle (Sean) Martin and their children Kyle, Jarrod and Emma Martin, Christy (David) Reis and their children Hudson, Tripp and Whitney Reis, Brent (Jamie) Keller and their children Victoria, Liam and Finnley Keller and Don's youngest daughter Ashley (Boyfriend, Zach Hoppe) Keller; son Ron (Sue) Keller of Indianola and their children Kara (Jonathan) Vehar and children Hannah and Jonah Vehar, Joseph (Paige) Keller and their children, Lucy, Meadow and Rogen Keller; son Dave (Kim) Keller and their children, Ann Keller, Emily (Seth) Lampman and children, Elliot and Olivia Lampman, Meghan (Pete) Crall, John (Kendra) Keller; son Dennis (Paula) Keller and their children Steve (Amy) Keller and their children, Anna, Kate, Grace, Jack and Max Keller, Chad (Christine) Keller and son Casen Keller, Stacy (Josh) McCurnin and their children Liam and Lola McCurnin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda; parents, Lester and Mable Keller; an infant son and sister, Helen Sneller.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 26 at Overton Funeral Home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given in his name to the JDRF Greater Iowa Chapter to help end the fight for T1 Diabetes. Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com.
