MATTHEW KYE GRINDLE

Matthew Kye Grindle was born on March 11, 1967, in Des Moines, IA. Despite a valiant fight to the end, Matt succumbed to cancer surrounded by family on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Matt was a loving husband, caring father, devoted grandfather, son, brother and good friend to many over the course of his life.

Known as "Gumby" to his friends, Matt enjoyed many passions including sky driving, dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing and was a gamer who cherished good music and good times. He also enjoyed bowling which lead him to his wife Glenda who graced him with two daughters and four grandchildren. In more recent years, he enjoyed playing Fortnite with Colby, coloring masterpieces with Peyton, and was a fine role model for both.

Matt was a man of strong conviction who lived life his way, and he will be sorely missed. A celebration of life will be planned on a date to be determined near his birthday in March.
