Funeral Mass for Matthew J. Coenen, 79, of Indianola, IA, who passed Tuesday, February, 2, 2022 in Des Moines, will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 11, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, where family will be present to greet friends from 12 to 1 p.m., prior to service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Matthew was a 1961 graduate of Dowling Catholic High School.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye of 54 years; children, Matthew E. Coenen, Ann (Blake) Davis; grandchildren, Piper, Ilan, Madeline, Jocelyn; siblings, Gary (Geri) Coenen, Bill (Kathy) Coenen, Gene (Kathy) Coenen, Carol (Dan) McIntyre; and many nieces, nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Gertrude Coenen.
