Services for Marylyn T. Wood, 70, who died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at home following a long battle with cancer, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 25 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk.  Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery, rural Norwalk.

Mrs. Wood was born in Des Moines and had worked for Plane Talk Publication Co. in Des Moines.

She is survived by her husband, James "Bill" Wood of Norwalk; children, Leann Warywoda, Mark Warywoda, John (Tracy) Wood and Bill (Kerry) Wood all of Des Moines; step-children, Mary (Steve) Garr of Bussey, Jim (Dee) Wood of Indianola, Doris (Ross) Allan of Libertyville, Grace (Wes) Bonnett of Bussey and Melonie Wood of Des Moines; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.  There will be a Rosary service held 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
