Mrs. Wood had lived in the North River Farm community since 1961 and was a homemaker.

Mary is survived by her husband, Edward of Indianola; two sons James Purcell of Newton. Ia, Frank Purcell and his wife Rose of Des Moines, a daughter Nancy Parker and her husband Tom of Bussey, Ia., two stepdaughters, Linda Moore of Johnston, Ia, and Ann Ashford of Avon Lake, Ia., and four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation at Overton Funeral Home will be on Monday from noon until leaving for Webb Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the North River Church.
